My name is Melissa, but most people call me Mell, unless you’re my grandma– she calls me missy.

I'm a business owner who knew there had to be a way to help tell the story of other business owners better, that's why we are here.

In 2013, I started a leather goods company (Douglas & Co. Detroit) with my husband and since then have been fascinated by how important it is to show up online. Having a product or offering a service is just one piece of the puzzle, I’ve learned that marketing your product is equally important.

While modern-day business owners might know that social media is important, few know how to get started

Melissa Douglas Co. came about as a desire to help businesses in my community create online content that converts into clients.

When I’m not working, you can find me with my pup Levi, out with my husband Shane at a favorite coffee shop, or exploring a new place. As of recently, Shane and I became foster parents and are learning what it means to be business owners and parents.
