Do they work with business owners?

Hiring a family photographer may not be the way you want to go when you are hiring someone to take your branding photos. Why? The same reason you wouldn’t hire a newborn photographer to do your wedding photos. Different people have different focuses within their business, and when it comes to branding a lot of things go into it.

2. Are they business-minded?

When it comes to your business, you want to make sure they understand business so that your time and resources are best spent.

3. Do you like their editing style?

What you see, is what you get. If you look at their portfolio or their Instagram feed and aren’t really into it, I would suggest finding someone’s aesthetic you vibe with.

4. Are they going to guide you?

There is NOTHING worse than showing up to a photo shoot and having no guidance. You want to make sure the person behind the camera is going to give you direction along the way.

5. Hire someone you feel comfortable with.

Have you ever had photos taken, and you just didn’t connect with the photographer? You want to make sure you are comfortable with the person who will be taking your photos. Not only will your discomfort shot behind the camera, but you will also be spending a few hours or more with this person, be sure it’s a good fit.
