Greystone started because Marc grew up on a family owned farm where they sell plants at the Oakland farmers market. Marc decided to branch off from the farm and create an e-commerce to sell the plants!
Their goal was to get high quality photos to share on social media so that they could build a connection with their customers.
I asked them what sets them apart from other companies who sell plants online, they said, “We take the time to single handily plant each plant and ensure we are shipping the highest quality. Also, we ship all of our plants in the original pot they were planted in, where most company’s only sell bareroot plants.”
During our session together we had a goal of capturing a few aspect of their business which you’ll see in this blog post. The first collection of images showcases the plants
This next section focuses on the shipped plants and unboxing the happy mail.
Next we show the plants being repotted into different planters and misting newly planted house plants.
This next section of photos our goal was to capture the founders and a few holiday inspired festive images.
The second location for the photoshoot was their greenhouse located in Armada, Michigan (where the magic happens). We focused on capturing them propagating the plants, planting the cuttings, watering, the packaging and the plants.
