Christa is a Michigan based real estate agent, who was looking to bring her brand vision to life through a photoshoot. This post will give you brand photoshoot inspiration, ideas, and more for female business owners.
She knew she was ready for a photoshoot because she did not have professional images available to use for marketing and she wanted to market herself professional online. She knew having the images would make marketing online much simpler. Christa reached out via my site and we got to planning the session.
She decided on Gold and Grit studio in Corktown, Detroit for the location. She liked the clean canvas and wanted to be able to customize a few things by bringing in props to help the images reflect her. Once we finalized the photoshoot, she was given a customizable canva template to assist her in planning the session. This template is sent to all of my 1.5 hour+ clients to help them put their ideas on paper. For those looking to get a headstart on planning your photoshoot I have a planning guide that can be really helpful, you can access it here.
During the session, Christa wore 7 different looks (easily changing up the looks with different shoes and tops). The key to success with our session together was preparation. She came to the session with a printed plan, props, and outfits. During her session we recorded (a ton) of behind the scenes footage so that she could repurpose the content for marketing purposes. Tips to get a variety of content during your photoshoot: capture different angles, have images sitting, standing and with a prop.

The best way to maximize your photoshoot is to come prepared. I tell my clients, if you can make as many planning decisions before your photoshoot, it is going to help you during the session. If possible, try to think about which outfits you will wear with which poses. Often sitting poses (especially sitting on the ground) are best in pant outfits.
While this all may feel like a lot – done is better than perfect!
